You don't wanna know what happened to me & my iPod Touch today..

I left UST around 6:30PM, ngayon na lang ulit after ng Paskuhan. Paolo and I immediately headed to España where we can catch an FX to Lawton.

Today's Friday, what do you expect? A tedious day going home; add the patience-killing traffic jam in the streets of Quiapo.

Fortunately and incredibly, WALANG TRAFFIC!

So around 8PM I texted Mum "Susana na ako". Which will then be a sign for her to go to Jollibee na and wait for me there. (Fast Fact: Hatid-Sundo ako from SPTC to home)

After about 15 minutes, we were coming near the bus unloading station. I remember I saw our car in front of Jollibee and even saw my sister Charlene. BECAUSE I'M A HAPPY PERSON AND INSANE ATE, I showed my big grin and waved to her like there's no tomorrow.

Pababa na kami, I stood up but noticed one thing, parang my nalaglag. I heard a familiar sound. But because everyone's leaving the bus, including my boyfiend whom I saw just 5 steps away from the bus door. I hurriedly went up, while checking my bag if something's missing or whatever. I just felt bad vibes.

As soon as I got off the bus, I realized..

"BV TANGNA SYET ITOUCH KO NALAGLAG!"

That time the bus was already moving. I wasn't really sure about my iTouch, if I really dropped it. But I got the bad vibes feeling I don't know how to word.

I'm in the state of panic and chill at the same time. I told Paolo, "Moj, nalaglag ko ata iTouch ko sa bus!!!" We were both on awkward faces, we were walking but running like hell, as if we were Flash who can catch up the BBL bus.

We can't get it through this! We took the jeep hoping to get into the bus again and hopefully get Touch.

Bad vibes ulit. Hindi ko kabisado ang Pacita. These things were running in my mind like crazy..

1. Dude, wala pang 2 months sakin 'yung iTouch ko! Alam kong sa iba, keri lang yun pero.... DAMN. It's like Doh, who will do what I did not do!?
2. Siguro way ito ni God para hindi na ako magpabili ng gadgets forever!!! At makuntento sa kung anong meron ako. K.
3. If ever mahabol, paano kung wala na dun?!
4. What if hindi mahabol!?!
5. Feeling ko nagaalala na sila sa akin. Minutes had passed since they saw me on the bus, I definitely know what mom was thinking.. what could happen?!

By the time I was contemplating on these chaotic thoughts, I can feel my cellphone vibrating in my blouse's pocket. I totally ignored it because first, I dunno how to explain to mum what's happening, second I almost thought we're lost in the midst of Laguna, and third my focus is on my iTouch and not on everybody else!!

I was desperate. I asked the woman beside me, "San po ba terminal ng BBL?" Looking at me, confused like she heard an alien word, gave me the grin then passed my question to the couple fronting us. They reacted the same so I was like, "K fineeeeeeee!!"

Eksakto, I saw a BBL terminal on my left.. so without further a do and maybe out of impulsiveness and desperation, I yelled Para! and instantly went off the jeep.. only to find out..

BAD MOVE WRONG MOVE!

We were at the wrong terminal. Pacita Complex nga pala dapat kami bababa kasi dun ang babaan at hindi dito, damnniit!!!!!!

So we rode another jeep again. This time we're little sure of what we're doing.. and as soon as we got off it, we ran like mad cows lost in the wilderness. We passed by a mini market, then turned left then..

TA-DAHHH! A dark open space, no buses.

I was already loosing hope and holding back my sudden burst of feelings as I leaped near the sidewalk of the national road.. Then ZOMFG!

YUNG BUS! NAKITA KO YUNG BUS!!

The bus was heading back to San Pedro, then I felt the urge to teleport from my place to the bus' front while saying STOOOOP! na parang si Jun Pyo lang. But I realized that tonight's case is not the usual astrosigaret superhero whom I can transform easily to.

So I called for tricycles, and literally begged them to let me in, joke. But I was like getting a cab, cos in Lizzy's Adventure stories, cab is trike. So yea. Told Manong Driver, "KUYA PAHABOL BAMAN NV BUS BILISSSSS!!!! BAYARAN KA NAMIN ONE MILLION!" Pero syempre joke lang. :D

BV traffic!! The bus is nowhere in my sight. I'm loosing hope again and started to think of what-ifs just like earlier. Lakas ng tibok ng puso ko pero nagulat ako biglang nagvibrate ulit cellphobe ko. Now I felt the courage to answer it. I told mum what happened and I hung up quickly.

Manong driver, maybe hearing what happened rushed to catch the bus.. maybe, symphatized with us na rin?

Then we saw the bus, paparada na sa terminal. Wait, this is familiar!! Eto yung binabaan namin kanina ah!? So basically parang bumalik lang kami!!

I literally leaped out of the trike, even forgot to thank Manong driver (my bad T.T) and hurriedly ran to the bus, waving my hand to signal stop. People's faces were all over us, but we didn't care.

Until the driver noticed us and we told him our agenda.

I immediately ran to the two seats at the back.. leaned down, absorbing the dust on the floor, extending my hand under the seat.

Kapa. Kapa. Kapa. Wala?

Kapa. Kapa. Kapa. Tingin.

AYUN! Kuha!


AS SOON AS I GRABBED IT, I YELLED SHIYEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!

And wearing my grin face again, we happily went down the bus while thanking the bus driver for letting us in.

I never thought something like this could happen to me and it did.

I felt like a member of the sindikato in the action films where I was chasing the multi-dollar case in front of me.

But of course, life won't be complete without action-like adventure stories!

I'm glad an hour chase could be this fulfilling.

I'm more glad, my iTouch is still with me! At buti na lang kakabili ko lang ng case niya kahapon at walang nangyaring masama sa kanya!

AND I'M MOST GLAD THAT I'M WITH SOMEONE WHO DIDN'T LEAVE ME AS I WROTE MY NEXT LIFE'S CHAPTER! The person who took into mind the bus number, enough to get my gadget back!

And it is also noteworthy to say that I'm currently using my iTouch to write this blog.
