This refers to the number of days you will work on this project. January 1 will be the best day to start it, just as when you're finished, you can go over what were your happiness throughout the year. However, it does not only limit to the start of the year. It's never late if you started today.
Happ-y-ness
HAPPINESS... the most important thing about this project. (I spell happiness with happ-y-ness, I just wanted it that way so Kthanks :P) BTW. What you need to do is to write something happy you had for a particular day. It could be as simple as "Today, I learned how to fly a kite :D" to "ZOMFG I won the lottery!!!!!"
Project
Basically, this is a project. Not just a mere task and not totally something you do because you're required to, but because you do it out of your own will. What's important is you do it willingly.
This may be nonsense to others, or unimportant to some.. but wouldn't it be nice to know that no matter how bad a day is, you can always end it by thinking of happy things that made it complete.
Remember: It is not limited to this bare idea. Everyone can use his/her own imagination to make it extraordinary!
And and and: It will only be real when you share it. So I'm bringing my diary planner once in a while to class to let people see it. I hope they won't get tired of it!
